Memorial Day 2014 will be a day to remember for Team M Motorsports.

Rookie driver Ty Majeski, racing for Team M, won his first race in the ARCA Midwest Tour at the Calypso Lemonade Border Wars II in Schererville, Indiana on Memorial Day 2014, May 26.

The race is part of the combined ARCA Midwest Tour and ARCA/CRA Super Series for Late Model stock cars.

That’s what Team M Motorsports did when they went looking for motorclub race team polo shirts befitting their newly created auto racing team. Being first time race car owners and scheduled to compete in the 2014 ARCA Midwest Tour for Super Late Model cars, Brad and Nancy Mannstedt and their team had their hands plenty full in getting prepared for the upcoming race season. Getting Captivations Sportswear to design and supply their race team crew shirts allowed them to concentrate on the many other tasks that they needed to address.

Expert design advice for team racing apparel

Creating great looking motorsports apparel is what we do! Firstly, Nancy chose the design pattern that she liked, gave us the team colors for their race team shirts, and we did the rest, adding logos following some design work to get the logos right.

Working with a sketch of a concept for the Team M Motorsports logo, the Captivations Sportswear designers went to work and developed several logo variations which lead to approval of their new logo design which was then added to the team shirts free of charge – along with the race meet logo.

The design team was also able to provide insight and advice on the positioning, size and other special requirements for sponsor logos.

Once the design was finalized, and sizes for each of the 22 race team polo shirts were determined, Nancy signed off and placed the order on 2^nd April. She received the shirts on April 30th, in time for the team to showcase their new custom race team shirts at the 6^th Annual Joe Shear Classic in Oregon, Wisconsin held on May 4^th, 2014.

Customized sports clothing using sublimation

Dye sublimation is a process of adding a color and design to fabric (and other substances as well) that provides the best quality, most durable option for sportswear and other apparel. So what is sublimation and how does it work?

The sublimation process

The sublimation process is the transition of a substance directly from the solid to the gas phase without passing through a liquid phase.

Because the colors and design are impregnated into the fabric, unlike screen printing, the inks cannot be felt on the surface of the garment and the technical performance of the fabric is not compromised. Sublimated designs will not fade, shrink or crack (as with screen printed designs), the colors and design look the same as the day you bought the garment even after years of wear.

For custom designed clothing, the process fuses the color and design into the fabric rather than sitting on top of the fabric as in inkjet or screen printing methods. Sublimated garments are softer to the touch while remaining very strong and durable. Colors retain their vibrancy over time regardless of extensive washing so it’s the ideal process for sportswear and school clothing.

Fabric quality makes a difference

For our sublimated garments, we source the highest performance fabrics – the best spandex, polyesters and other suitable fabrics – that are durable, soft to the touch and wick away perspiration.

In the sublimation process, you can incorporate club and sponsor names or logos into your design without the added expense and bulk of embroidered logos. Set up of design templates is free for your sublimated garments and we have low minimum orders for all custom designed apparel.
